Live Your Eternal Life

Jn 3:16 shows us that we are the current possessors of everlasting life when we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.  You don’t have to wait to die before you can start enjoying many of the blessings of eternal life.  You have them right now and you can live your eternal life now.

If you don’t know that you have eternal life, then you, first, need to be saved by trusting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.  And then as soon as you trust him, you need to start living his life in you.

Rom 6 shows us how to do this.

When you are saved, your old man is crucified with Christ, and your new man is risen with him, Rom 6:1-7.  God doesn’t want you to continue in sin after you’re saved.  Let the old man die and let the new man live.  Rom 6:11 says, “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord”.  This way you can “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body”, Rom 6:12.  “Sin shall not have dominion over you”, Rom 6:14.

You are going to serve God and righteousness or you are going to serve sin.  On or the other.  If you serve sin, you are going to keep serving sin until you die.  The wages of sin is death.  If you obey God and serve righteousness, your are going to serve him unto holiness and in the end everlasting life.  Rom 6:13-23.

The choice is yours whether to live your eternal life or squander it by serving sin.  And the choice is yours to be saved by trusting Jesus Christ and live forever or to keep on in your sin and die and spend eternity in hell.  I would choose life in Christ and start living it now.
