• … a church that believes the Bible

We are a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching, Bible-teaching church. We make sure people get sound doctrine here.  It may not seem so important to modern Christians to spend time in the Bible, but it is very important to the Lord and it is the only way you are going to grow in the grace and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.  We believe and preach the King James Bible.  With the Holy Spirit as the author and teacher, it’s not hard to understand.

  • … a church with College and Career

We have a College and Career class that includes students from Del Mar College, Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Texas A&M Kingsville, and young adults starting their careers, as well. This class is regularly full because the lessons taught by Pastor Randy Knupple are very practical and very informative. This is a class you won’t want to miss!

  • … a church with Teens

We have a Teen Sunday school class and Wednesday night class for Junior High and High School students. In these two classes, our teens learn sound Bible doctrine. This is where they get rooted and grounded in the words of God. Our Youth Pastor, Tony Seale, and his wife, Shannon, also plan special youth activities throughout the year to encourage their fellowship and spiritual growth.

  • … a church that preaches the Gospel

The world needs to hear the true, uncompromised gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Today the gospel has been so watered down that it is hard to tell whether folks are truly getting saved.  We want folks to get saved and know they’re saved.  The only way to do that is to preach the gospel in such a way that the Holy Spirit can reprove them so they will see their need of Jesus Christ and be born again when they receive Jesus as their Saviour.

  • … a church that Prays

We still have Wednesday night prayer meetings.  Many churches have cancelled the mid-week service.  This trend has weakened the churches spiritually.  They have grown in numbers at the cost of declining in spiritual power.  The old saying is, “The family that prays together, stays together.”  The same is true of churches.  On Wednesday nights, we sing and preach and pray for each others’ needs and for the requests of our missionaries.

At our Wednesday night prayer meetings, after we sing, read some updates from our missionaries and preach, we take prayer requests from those who are in attendance and from those who have called or emailed us so that we can pray for each other.  Of course, you are welcome and encouraged to attend if you can.  Praying with others after singing together and hearing the word of God preached is an excellent comfort for your soul.

We break up into small groups of about 4 or 5 people and take turns each praying over some of the requests until we have covered them all.  We also divide up cards containing the specific prayer requests from our missionaries so that all of their requests are covered every Wednesday night.  This way we know that the prayer requests in their prayer letters are being handled at least once a week and folks in the church can be reminded to pray for them throughout the rest of the week.

Come join us for prayer meeting!

  • … a church supporting Missions

We prayerfully and financially support missionaries in the United States and around the world.  We have done so throughout the entire history of our church.  We have our annual missions conference in February and this is one of the best special meetings of the year.  We love to meet and hear from missionary families since it is always a joy to see what God is doing in other parts of the world.
