God Will Judge You, Ecc 11:9

In Ecc 11:9 God will bring everything about you into judgment when God will judge you.  God will judge:

What you do, Ecc 12:14.  God will judge how you did it, why you did it, when you did it, as in 1 Cor 3:11-15 and Col 3:23-25.  See 2 Cor 5:10-11. He will judge your acts of commission and omission. Jas 4:17 “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not to him is is sin”.

What you hide, Ecc 12:14.  God will judge your secrets, Rom 2:16.  The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good, Prov 15:3.  You can hide nothing from God!!  Heb 4:13.

What you say, Matt 12:36-37.  Sometimes we think we’re safe in certain company to say something we would not say in public.  You may be safe from public scrutiny, but you aren’t safe from judgment.  God hears everything you say.  Ps 139:4.

What you believe, Jn 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him”.  God will judge you based on what you believe.  Rom 5:18-19, Or should we say “who you believe”?

The Lord will judge whether you have eternal life and will spend eternity with him. Or whether you have not eternal life and will spend eternity with the devil in the lake of fire.

Do you accept or reject him.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Will you face commendation or condemnation.  Will God say to you, “Well done thou good and faithful servant” or “depart from me ye cursed into everlasting fire”.

Do you have his righteousness or will you face his wrath?  “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”, Rom 10:10.

You have only two choices.

  • Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, Rom 10:13.
  • Whosever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire, Rev 20:15

Conclusion: Knowing that God will judge us should cause us to fear God.  And this fear should cause us to change what we do, what we hide, what we say, and what we believe if it doesn’t line up with God.  You should change these today.
