Blessed Is The Forgiven Man, Ps 32:1-2

Blessed is the Forgiven Man

Whose transgression is forgiven, Ps 32:1-2.  Forgiveness is based on the propitiation of Christ and it is guaranteed when we confess our sins to him, 1 Jn 1:9, 2:2.  See Rom 4:6-8.  What a blessing to have been forgiven from all that sin before.  When your heart and mind reflect on your past, remember “Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin”.  Those sins are not on your account.

The Corus of a well-known song: “What sins are you talking about, I don’t remember them anymore, from the Book of Life they’ve all been torn out, I don’t remember them anymore”.

The Lord always forgives you and you need to forgive yourself.  Then you need to be sure not to keep repeating the same sin over and over again, like an addict.  Get clean and stay clean.  Get off the merry-go-round.  You are blessed with a clean record and the truth that makes you free from the bondage of sin.

Who considereth the poor, Ps 41:1-3.  When you consider the poor, the Lord will deliver you in time of trouble.  The rich young ruler passed up his opportunity for the Lord to deliver him because he refused to give to the poor, Lk 18:18-24.  Giving to help those in need is better than insurance for the future.

Trouble is coming, no doubt.  Man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward, Job 5:7.  There’s no need to worry about how you’re going to make it through the trouble if you have considered the poor.  You are blessed with the best protection for the future.  I remember well a 94-year old preacher whom the Lord blessed abundantly because he did this.
