Satan and the Anti-Christ
Part 3
In the previous lesson we looked at the mystery of iniquity and how Satan has been at work for a long time to set up the world for the anti-christ to come in and set up a counterfeit kingdom. We also showed how the man of sin became will become the son of perdition half-way through the tribulation. In this lesson we will show how all of this is connected with Satan being kicked out of the 2nd heaven and then we will look at the destruction of both the anti-christ and Satan in the Lake of Fire.
War in Heaven: (Revelation 7:17)
- In this passage we see that there is a war in the second heaven where Michael and his angels fight against the devil and his angels.
- Satan and his angels lose the battle and are kicked out of the 2nd heaven and confined to the earth. When this happens he will go after the Jews and try to destroy them.
- This is all taking place at the half way point of the tribulation (Revelation 12:3,14)
- This is also the point where the beast out of the bottomless pit (anti-christ) takes over the man of sins body as we saw in the previous lesson.
With Satan now on earth and the anti-christ ruling along with the false prophet we see one of Satan counterfeits at work. He is counterfeiting the Trinity. He is acting like God the father, with the anit-christ acting as God the son, and the false prophet acting as God the Holy Spirit. Remember from the beginning of this series we said that Satan will be “like” the most high.
The Destruction of the Anti-christ, the false prophet, and Satan:
- In Revelation 16:13-14 there are three unclean devils that come from the mouth of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. These gather the kings of the earth to a great battle.
- Jesus destroys this army at the battle of Armageddon (Revelation 19:11-21 ; Revelation 14:14-20).
- The Beast and the false Prophet are thrown into a Lake of Fire (Revelation 19:20)
- Satan is bound in the Bottomless Pit for 1000 years while Jesus reigns on the earth (Revelation 20:1-3)
- At the end of this reign Satan will be loosed, he will gather an army and then will be destroyed by fire from God out of heaven and cast into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:7-10)
