Get wisdom

In Prov 4:5, 7 Solomon instructed us to get wisdom.  If you have a desire to get wisdom, then you need to be sure that you are on the right track.

You can tell whether you’re going to get wisdom or not by:

Whom you fear.  Prov 9:10, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

What you value.  Prov 8:11, wisdom is better than rubies; and all things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.  Prov 16:16, how much better is it to get wisdom than gold!

What you pay attention to.  Prov 1:20, wisdom crieth without.  Prov 2:2, incline thine ear unto wisdom.  Prov 2:6, For the Lord giveth wisdom.  Prov 5:1, My son, attend unto my wisdom.

Who you hang out with.  Prov 13:20, He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

How you handle reproof.  Prov 29:15, The rod and reproof give wisdom.  Prov 15:31, The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.

What your attitude is.  Prov 11:2, With the lowly is wisdom.  Prov 13:10, Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

Conclusion: If you fear the Lord, value wisdom more than gold, pay attention to the wisdom around you, walk with wise men, learn from reproof, and stay humble, you’re going to get wisdom.
