The Cretians

Titus was given a charge in Titus 1:5 that would have taken him a lifetime to complete.  He was to set in order the things that were wanting, and there were 80 cities in which he was to ordain elders.  The people from among whom these “men of God” were to be ordained were the Cretians.  They were liars, evil beasts, slow bellies, and unto every good work reprobate, Titus 1:12-16.

We must get used to the fact that many of the people we lead to the Lord are going to be like the Cretians.  And from among them, God will even raise up men who can pastor churches.  Love them and help they grow and learn how to live.
