Why So Few Laborers

Blake Muscott preached this Sunday night message on why so few laborers from his generation are entering the harvest.  He gave five reasons:

Pleasure – Lk 8:14.  Pleasures choke the word.  Is 47:8 people are given to pleasure.  2 Tim 3:4 the love pleasures more than God.

Pornography – Heb 13:4-5.  While others are suffering for Christ, they are defiling themselves and marriage.

Pride – 1 Cor 6:19-20.  You’re bought with a price; you should glorify God.  Instead, people are doing what they want with their lives.

Parents – Jn 11:48.  Like the Pharisees didn’t want to lose their place, parents don’t want to lose their children to the Lord’s work, particularly in another country.

Prayerlessness – Is 6:8.  We are to pray for the lost, Rom 10:1.  We are to pray for the saved, Matt 9:38.  We are to pray for ourselves to go, Is 6:8.

Conclusion: Be a remedy for why so few laborers.  Put aside any of these things in your life and start laboring in the harvest.
