The Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Error

1 John 4:6

            If you are a born again child of God you have the truth, you know the truth, and you should follow the truth. So how then does a child of God get tripped up and fall into the Spirit of Error? Whenever we allow ourselves not to be filled with the Spirit [Eph.5:18], that void now allows room for the Spirit of Error to enter in.

 

Being born again [John3:3] equips us with Spirit of Truth:

[John 4:23-24] God is a Spirit and we must worship him in spirit and Truth.

[John 16:13] The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and our guide to all Truth.

[John 14:6] Jesus is the way, the Truth and the life.

[John 17:17] God’s word is Truth.

 

If we are not filled with the Spirit, the new give place for the Devil [Eph.4:27]. Paul show us three ways that the Spirit of Error can move in:

 

[Gal. 3:1]  By Disobedience – Sin – Separation – Spirit of Error

[Isa. 59:1-4] Your sin separates you from God

[2 Tim. 2:22-26] Sin is not acknowledging the Truth

Disobedience allows the Spirit of Error to enter in because you are not filled with the truth.

 

 

[2 Cor.11:1-4]  By Corruption-False Doctrine-Subtly (sly or cunning) – Spirit of Error

Another: Jesus – Mormons, JW’s, Muslims, Catholics, etc.

Spirit – Mystics, New Age, Charismatic’s

Gospel – anything other than “faith plus nothing”, no works.

[2 Cor. 2:17] Corrupting the word of God, new Bibles

[2 Pet.3:16] Wresting the scriptures is twisting God’s words to change meanings.

[Matt. 22:29] You must know the scriptures or else you err.

Corruption allows the Spirit of Error to enter in.

 

 

[1 Tim. 4:1-3]  By The Times – Apostasy – Seduction – Spirit of Error

In the latter times: (You are living in the latter times)

1) Speaking Lies in Hypocrisy – Say one thing and do another.

2) Conscience Seared – By Movies, TV, [Prov.19:27] causes you to err.

3) Forbidding to marry – GLTB wants their sin to be justified, and forbid you from real marriage. (Once thought to be a practice of Catholic Priest and now has a new meaning)

4) Commanding to abstain from meats – Now days Vegan diets (also ordered by Catholic Church, remember fish Fridays?)

You live in a time where seduction will draw you into a Spirit of Error.
