As a teenager you may be thinking I do not even know what my purpose is right now. The truth is everyday you are doing things and making decisions that will lead you either down the road to the point where God wants you to be or to the point where he does not want you to be. The difference between these two locations in your life will be determined by what you do with the word of God.
How to use the Word of God:
1) First you must receive the word of God.
- Think of yourself like a radio or phone. The word of God is there like the signals moving in the air, but you must have a receiver to pick up the signal.
- With modern technology the word of God is always at your fingertips.
What are some ways to receive the word of God?
- Read it everyday (You need some sort of bible reading plan).
- You must study the word of God (2 Timothy 2:15)
- Learn to use a concordance or bible search engine.
2) Then you must believe the word of God.
- Faith to believe the word of God is directly connected to the hearing or receiving the word of God (Romans 10:17).
- The more you learn and study the word of God the more it will come to life in front of you every day.
3) Then you can achieve the things that God wants you to achieve.
- Isaiah 55:11 (The word of God always accomplishes its purpose the question is do we.)
- The thing about faith is that it leads to action.
- Examples Hebrews 11 (The honor roll of faith)
The word of God effectively works in those who believe according to the verse for this study. So, we must use the word to receive, believe and achieve for God.
