Do You Believe Heaven Is Real
Can you say with absolute assurance, “When I die, I’m going to heaven?” You can if you have trusted the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary. You will undoubtedly answer, “Yes” if you are planning to go there. However, my concern is that if you really believe heaven is real and you are planning to spend eternity there shouldn’t your life reflect your conviction?
It would seem that if you really believed in heaven you would change your attitude about it. If you believe what the Bible has to say about heaven I believe that you will respond to that belief in ways that will change your life.
When You Believe Heaven is Real
You Look Up Regularly
Col 3:1-2 because heaven is where Jesus is. If you really believe that Jesus is “up there,” then your affection will be “up” where he is. You will also be looking up in anticipation of the return of the Lord [Titus 2:13]. He is coming for us at the Rapture.
You Invest There Primarily
Matt 6:20-21 says, “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” You will be giving to get the gospel out and not to build a kingdom down here. Our desire is to see more souls saved and on their way to heaven.
You Tell Others More Often
Lk 15:10 says, “there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” So few Christians witness and sow the seed of the word of God today. However, when you believe heaven is real, you are ready to tell anyone and everyone how to get there.
You Please God First
Col 3:23-24, 2 Tim 2:4, “whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord… please him who hath chosen (you) to be a soldier. First and foremost, you will be doing God’s will. You will be taking care of the things on his list before taking care of the things on your list.
You Travel Lighter
Heb 12:1-2 says, “let us lay aside every weight… and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Christians have too much stuff these days. Reduce the weight that is slowing you down. Be ready to go at a moment’s notice. Work for the Lord efficiently without distraction.

If you really believe it, then let your life reflect what you believe!!
