Spiritual Walk – Rom 10:17; 2 Cor 5:7 – you become self-reliant rather than God reliant – you cannot walk by faith without the Bible, the source of faith.
Spiritual Light – Ps 119:105; Ps 119:133 – we don’t walk by blind faith – our path needs to be lighted by God’s words – you must have spiritual light to see God’s direction in your life.
Spiritual Cleansing – Jn 15:3; 2 Cor 7:1; Eph 5:26 – living in this world you are going to be defiled everyday – and so everyday you need to be spiritually cleansed – you cannot be cleansed without the words of God.
Spiritual Nourishment – Matt 4:4 – in the same way that your body must have physical nourishment from food, your spirit must have spiritual nourishment from the Bible.
Spiritual Growth – 1 Pet 2:2; 1 Cor 3:1-3; Eph 4:11-15 – it is unnatural for your body to remain the same as it was when you were born – your body grows – likewise, it is spiritually unnatural for you not to grow spiritually – and you cannot grow apart from the Bible.
Conclusion: Therefore, buy a King James Bible, pray for God to help you to understand it and to be nourished and directed by it and then read it. Find a good church where the Bible is preached faithfully and get all you can from the preaching and teaching of God’s words.
