Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry of Bible Believers Baptist Church is one of the biggest ministries we have, because we minister to families.  Here are some of the things that might interest you the most:

Safety – We train all of our teachers and workers who are involved in children’s ministry.  All workers must have been members here a minimum of 6 months before working with youth and they must undergo a background check and application process.  We have a policy and procedure manual that stresses safety for our children.  Children should come to appreciate the church as one of the most secure places on earth.

Salvation – We believe a children’s ministry should be evangelistic but we are not hasty with children’s souls.  We encourage parents to speak with their children often about the Lord but we don’t believe that they should be “pushed” into receiving Jesus.  Thus we patiently preach and teach the word of God and when a child is under obvious conviction of the Holy Spirit, then we deal with him about Jesus.  We encourage parents to participate in this since their child’s salvation is one of the greatest joys they will ever experience in life.

Sanctification – We want children to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and to begin to live separated but not isolated lives.  Ideally, children will grow up unashamed of Jesus and desirous to live for him the rest of their lives.  It is our hope that through the children’s ministry, these young people can grow up with their best friends saved and in church.

Our children’s ministry involves the nursery, graded Sunday school classes, Toddler’s Church, Children’s Church, and Bible Clubs.  One of the greatest sights on Sundays and Wednesdays is seeing children excitedly heading for their classes and friends as soon as they arrive in the building.
