1 Chr 16:25 says, For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised.  This lesson is on the God of greatness.  In 1 Chr 16:23-27 we see the greatness of God’s:

Restoration – Rom 8:19-23 right now all of creation is groaning not singing.  When Jesus returns, things will settle down greatly [Is 11:6-9].  And the whole earth will be singing!!

Salvation – Jn 15:13 greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  God SO loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son [Jn 3:16].  Imagine that since the world is God’s enemy [Jas 4:4].  God in his greatness made his salvation available to whosoever [Rom 10:13].

Gospel – his gospel has gone to all nations, into all the world [Matt 28:18-19].  Rev 5:9 says every kindred.

Praise – there are more psalms and hymns written about the Lord than any other person known to man.

Fear – Ps 95:3.  He beat Dagon [1 Sam 5:2-4]; he beat Baal at Carmel [1 Ki 18:21-39]; he is greater than Allah and the antichrist.  All false gods and the devil will be thrown into the lake of fire.

Creation – creation is so wonderful that many men don’t believe it.  They have come up with an elaborate science of natural processes to describe something that only our great God could do.

Glory – 1 Chr 29:11.  His glory is above all the earth and all the principalities and powers in heaven.

Honor – Rev 5:12-13.  All the earth will proclaim his honor.

Strength – Ex 13:14 with just one hand he removed Israel from Egypt.  That’s why we should trust what he said in Eph 6:10, “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.”

Gladness – Ps 16:11 there are pleasures at the right hand of God and the fullness of joy in his presence.  If you are saved, you are already there [Eph 2:6].
